Since 2000, Thatcher Associates has built a reputation for placing professional, technical and managerial talent with judgement and care. What began as a single founder's desk in construction and resort engineering has become a distributed network of specialists, each an authority in their own field, sharing one brand, one standard and one operating platform.

That heritage is the foundation, not the boundary. Retainer-supported track

A fixed monthly retainer for project work, set against a smaller share of placement billings, suited to partners who prefer steadier cash flow as the desk builds.

08 · Support to thrive

A core team behind you, not above you.

  • Market mapping. We help you identify and target the right clients, continuously.
  • LinkedIn & email strategy. Help crafting engaging content and sequences to build your brand and reach candidates.
  • Check-ins. Sessions to share strategy, troubleshoot, brainstorm and get practical help with the tools. Daily or weekly, call on support as you need it.
  • Accountancy support. Tree Accountancy, our chartered accountants, handle the firm's books, log every placement, and ensure your partner fees are paid on schedule.

Billing runs without you

Tree Accountancy raise the invoice on each placement, and an automated reminder process chases late payers, so day-to-day credit control is off your plate. The occasional exception is where a personal nudge from you moves the needle faster than another reminder. As a self-employed partner you submit your own tax return, and are welcome to engage Tree directly or use your own accountant.

Self-employment with Thatcher Associates suits niche specialists who want freedom under a credible brand, proven billers ready to scale beyond salary-plus-commission, and ambitious recruiters who want to focus on recruitment, not infrastructure, while staying connected to a like-minded network.

What you'll do

  • Build a pipeline of clients and candidates, using your expertise alongside our support.
  • Source and place candidates in agreed sectors, under our brand and tools.
  • Submit a Placement Return within 2 working days of a candidate's start to trigger invoicing.
  • Invoice us for your partner fee within 7 days, with payment following once the client settles.
